I Got An ET!!!
Holy smokkeeessss, lots has happened this week!!!! Let's get the big thing outta the way... I got ET'd (emergency transferred) to Hermiston, Oregon on thursday! I got a call late monday night from my mission president telling me I was leaving Kennewick to go to Hermiston in a couple of days and oh boy, I was shook, literally so sad:( But I got all my tears out and now I'm in Hermiston and I'm doing good!
I am now companions with Sister Leonard who goes home in 1 week, haha so I have very little time to learn the area, but I've been praying hard for help with that lol.
I was very sad to leave Kennewick because that is where I started my mission and I was there for 5 months! I learned so dang much and I absolutely love the people there! But I am excited to do the same thing with Hermiston!
Said goodbye to my sweet old ladies that we visit every week and just make me so happy. Said bye to the Faamausilis who literally became my family out here. Their daughter malia is my best bud and I miss her already! I have met so many amazing people and families that I have learned so much from. I'm grateful God placed me there to meet and love them!
Tonight I get to go back to Kennewick because Destinie is getting baptized!!! I am so excited for her and grateful I was able to teach her! I just love missionary work soo much it truly changes lives!
General conference was amazing this weekend!! We got to watch every session with an investigator and it was so good!
There is this one family we are teaching that has legit 8 kids all under the age of 11 and none are twins. And the mom is 26. Do the math. Hahah so it was a crazy household but they all listened well and we are hoping the 4 oldest kids will get baptized real soon! Another girl we watched with is named Bella and she is 9, she turned to us in the middle of a talk and said "i want to get baptized right now" ahhh we died. Her parents are very less active and need to allow it, but she is ready!
I'm so grateful we were able to listen to our prophet and his apostles and other amazing speakers! I know that God truly does call them to lead us to Christ! I love Elder Wilcox's talk when he talked about Christ feeding the 5,000 and having leftovers! It reminded me that Christ's grace and love truly is sufficient for us all!
Sorry this is a little longer, there was just so much going on this week! I hope you are all doing amazing and had a great conference weekend! Let me know if there's anything I can do for any of you! <3
